Our village fiesta (a local community celebration) is coming up soon, and our neighborhood recently held a meeting to plan the activities for this year.
The neighbors gathered to brainstorm ideas, and everything was going smoothly - until one neighbor started questioning every single thing written on the board.
At first, I thought, Okay, maybe she's just being thorough or genuinely concerned. But after a while, she kept finding problems where there didn't seem to be any. Every suggestion was met with another objection or criticism. That's when I realized she might be one of those people - you know the type.

Previously, I had one at work. she always looks for the cons of each situation without offering any solutions. I only realized later that she was even backstabbing me and giving all false, derogatory, and discrediting statements to people at work, who didn't know me at all. That's when I knew she was just someone who wanted to be the center of attraction without putting in good work., so I eventually ignored her.

I did know someone like that, not a neighbor though. When we did production numbers in skating, we mostly could figure out our own costumes, but sometimes we had to wear the same . . . which meant money. One of my skating friends made a stink about these things all time but she always caved because in the end, if she didn't do it, then she couldn't skate in the number 
.

I have heard of people like that, but I never had neighbors like that.

Yes, there is always one of those. It seems, the ones who have all the questions usually do not have the answers.
