Let's Pretend

Let's pretend every law-abiding citizen of the United States of America (living in America) gave up all of their firearms and ammo. No more firearms, no more ammunition. In your own view how would that change the look of things? What would it mean for you. Would you fear the government more or less? Would you fear criminals more or less? Would you happily say goodbye to deer steak or miss it dearly? Would you feel safer, less safe or no different? Those are just some of the questions that occur to me but are not an exhaustive list.

If my weapons were taken away from me, I would have more fear of criminals since some outlaws have this attitude of a criminal is that they believe that they can get what they want since their victim cannot defend themselves with a weapon pointed at them.

Worth a try. But what about just giving up my assault rifles? I could still have game.

I would live in fear of the government if that were to happen. We have to be able to defend ourselves.
