13 April - What I'm Thankful for Today

Today was a very good day. It's another warm day. I kept the patio door open the entire day. The thermostat says 80 F and the current temp outside is 81 F. Slightly cooler than yesterday, but still hot. Yesterday got to 87 F. That's the weather and not part of what I'm thankful for today. I'm thankful for getting 8 hours of sleep. I got up at 4:30 this morning. I'm thankful I remembered I needed to do laundry. Not a lot this time, but I had a tablecloth from Sunday's dinner in the laundry. I'm thankful for the exercise I got this morning. I have over 10K steps with walking the building, getting the Bingo numbers, and walking the trail for the second day in a row. When it gets this hot again, I will not walk the trail. I was exhausted and almost overheated when I returned to the complex. I was very happy to get home. I'm thankful for Canasta. There were only three of us today, but still a good game. Yes, I lost, but it's not about winning, it's about having fun. I'm thankful for the work I got done on Where Eagles Soar. It's coming along well. Okay, that was my day. A fun day. What are you thankful for today? Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me.

I'm thankful for the rain we're getting, and the sun we had all day. I'm thankful it held out until I got home. I'm thankful for the bath I'm fixing to get, tooo.

I woke up around 6am today and I'm thankful for being alive. I got a message which disappointed me but well, there's nothing much I can do about it and don't want to sulk.

I thought that Canasta was only played by four players in two partnerships. I am glad you had fun playing.

It can be played with 2, 3, or four players. It makes it interesting. With two players you get 15 cards dealt to you. With three, it's 13. And with four, it's 11 and a partnership. I haven't played with only two players yet.
