A search on the Net told me there are more than 150 prepositions in the English language and most commonly used are
above, across, against, along, among, around, at, before, behind, below, beneath, beside, between, by, down, from, in, into, near, of, off, on, to, toward, under, upon, with and within.
My command of the English language is pretty good both in terms of grammar and spelling and when it comes to spelling sometimes there is that red line to depend on but when it comes to using prepositions I get stumped sometimes.
Is it ride on a boat or in a boat?
What mistakes do you ,make?

I avoid making mistakes. If I am not sure, I research then speak.

Riding in a boar or on a boat? For what I remember from school, if the boat is very small and does not have a deck (like a rowing boat) then it's “in”. If it is a large boat with a deck it's “on”. English may be tricky and I have often to think twice, thing that I do not do when I type comments here. I know I make mistakes.

@allknowing Exactly and the guidelines say that we cannot criticize people for using bad English.

No matter how well versed one is there is no one who can say they are one hundred percent accurate.

I usually make the error of the term riding on a boat instead riding in a boat.
