Iftar Party with Friends

We had a sort of iftar party with friends. We grilled some meat and chicken. I volunteered on the grill and another leader of our group.
There were 8 of us who spent that picnic beside the sea. I was with Abby, Mac, Betty, Mady and her boyfirend, Bhe Nene and Noel. We enjoyed the food while having some chitchat.
Four of us had a nature's call and we headed to the cliffs. Before going back to the group I thought of groping the water. I was able to feel some live plants that were attached to some small rocks. I took some of them and brought home. To my surprise they actually looked very nice. I searched online and they seem to be called sea lettuce. I put them first in a small canister to see if they were going to survive with tap water only. Then, I laid them all down on the bed of my fish tank as you can see.
Do you think they are good for my fresh water tank?

Your guppies will think you're being extra nice to them if you add the sea lettuce to your tank. They love to eat lettuce and spinach.

@Neil43 As long as you identified it correctly, it's perfectly healthy for your fishies.

I'm not sure they'll survive in the fresh water.

The plants look very lush and green I think they will do great in the water tank, I don't know how they'll do in fresh water though. This might give you and idea about plants for your tank
