Beauty - where did you find it ?

Was it in a place, a person, a building, a face, an animal ? What do you think is the most beautiful thing you've ever seen ? To give thanks.

While driving a truck for 3 years I found beauty in many places, and in many forms. The natural lanscapes of the Rockies, The awesome sunsets of the Pacific coast, the Appalacians covered in morning fog, the miles and miles of grain field waving gently in the summer breeze. The people along the way were what tied it all together. It reaffirmed my faith of God being everywhere and in everything we see. Nothing He created is truly ugly. Even the most unappealing things in this world have their own type of beauty. We truly are lucky to be blessed with everything God has given us.

Unfortunately, because of how ugly this world has become, what you say is so true. The bad things that everyone sees on a daily basis have truly clouded people's perceptions. Some people never really take the time to look and think about what good they can find.

Very nice, shoreboy. I agree that people reaffirm the beauty found in places, and that we have been truly blessed in many ways - and often forget those ways. The tendency to see bad over good in our lives is partially to blame. :)

So true. Even the bleakest moments can change with only a smile and a hug. It doesn't change the situation, but makes it more bearable. :)

i can find beauty in some person's expression when he shows to be sincere, or in a baby's face because of his innocence, and first of all in the animals because they are the best aspect of nature

Agreed - sincerity means much when the age of innocence is past. To me, nature in and of itself is beauty, IF you know what it expects.

I found beauty the first time I saw my beautiful baby's smile. We (my wife and I) were at the hospital and my wife was sleeping, so I was holding the baby and singing to her. She opened her eyes and gave the most amazingly wonderful smile. It still brings tears to my eyes just thinking about how perfect that moment was. My baby is now 10 months old and is beginning to walk. She says "da da" and "ma ma" but to hear her giggle and laugh as she plays with her toys is an truly satisfying feeling!

:) Too cool. I'm so happy for you both - well, all three and more, if it is so - and I feel that your daughter will truly be blessed and will have an advantage with a father that took the time to be there, to enjoy that smile....
