My balcony project was a (relative) success.

I got the longest railing done before the CO2, or whatever it is, ran out in my old can of dark brown spray paint. I punctured the can to gather some more paint and finish the leading edge of the railing. The two side railings are still "humble," but I don't really care. I think I did the project just for fun. And to use up my aging paint. Now, I've started sanding and oiling my balcony chairs and table. I do that every Spring. Horse Jr. used to help me. Do you have any projects going on?

Yes, I am trying to kill brain cells so I can better deal with "average" humans.

@TheHorse — by definition, half the people you meet are dumber than average, and the other half are smarter than average. Hold out hope for finding the latter half.

It seems your project is quite successful. Congrats. I don't have any ongoing projects, just simple tasks that I have to do online. Your balcony's view is good. It would be good to settle down there and just read a book or sip your morning coffee.

Yes! I enjoy relaxing there some evenings (mostly in the Summer) and watching the moon rise.

I have mowed today, first of the year 2023. I also pulled out many weeds from the vegetable garden. I will continue my job in the coming days to be ready to plant in May.

@TheHorse - I mowed without the gloves, but when I went to pull out the weeds I wore gloves.

Did you wear your gloves? I may do a post about a random injury I sustained the other day. Had I been wearing gloves, it would not have happened.

I'm like, what are you talking about? This isn't about plants but about painting your balcony. I wasn't prepared for a change in topics about your balcony. Great job! I hope your plants appreciate the work you did for them.

Heh. I have a couple of sunflowers at about 6". Hopefully I'll see some corn poking through soon.

Have you thought about what to paint? And gathered photos that you might use as "inspiration"? Those things count in my book.

@RubyHawk Do you agree that "research" is a part of the work?

@TheHorse She told me what she wants, it’s the house where she was born. Now, I just need to get to work.

He seems to be doing OK. I don't talk to him that often. I think he's still addicted to Minecraft and other internet stuff.

The only project I have going is to catch up here! I do have a mountain of shredding to do.

Shredding sounds satisfying, in an odd way.
