Is there such a thing as perfection? Listening to Ella Fitzgerald

I have always thought "mathematically." There is no such thing as perfection. Only God is perfect. But this brings up Calculus and thoughts of "the limit." I apologize. Kitty and I were just listening to jazz music out of Sacramento CA. She came up and started rubbing on my leg, demanding to be petted. I said, "Yes, that is some pretty good music. That lady sounds like Ella." Then I went back to working on my book chapter. Kitty was unrelenting. At that point I realized that this COULD be Ella, the greatest female jazz singer of all time, so I did a Google search. OK, all of you mathematicians, physicists, philosophers, and farmers. Is this perfection? Or is it merely "close"?

Perfection is a myth. With numbers though, we can arrive at a perfect solution, like 1 plus 1 = 2

Maybe that's why I always liked math.

Is God really perfect? I look at the humans he created and I wonder...

Yes... She had a lovely singing voice. But sometimes her scatting would get on my nerves. Only sometimes. Not like Jazzmeia Horn's, pure torture all the time.

@TheHorse Count yourself lucky. She's a screamer, not a singer, and her attempt at scatting sounds like the nonsense sounds some kids make when riding in a wagon on a bumpy road.

I think people are trying to coin the word perfect to make it achievable in the human condition but not true.

It's like the horizon. Or the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
