My grandson is visiting for the holidays

My oldest grandson is coming to stay with me for a few days today. Life will be less stressful for me as long a she is here as he helps me a lot with small jobs like cleaning and keeping things in place. And as we know there are pros and cons for everything. From today I will only have to watch cartoons and kids films on tv. I cannot watch anything that I like. He never plans his stay duration anytime and the day he gets bored he calls his mom to come and pick him up. Earlier I had a full time job so he could never stay for long. And when I was working from home I would be busy the whole day with work and he would never get my full attention. Now there is no distraction for me so I can spend a lot of time with him. I will have fun as long as he is here. The pic is of my grandson which was taken when we had gone on a vacation in 2017.

Haha. I had to laugh at this. Soon he will be too cool to spend time with Grandma and you'll be able to watch your own programmes again. Enjoy him while you can. I'm sure you do that without me saying it. lol

I enjoy my time with him and look forward to his visits. I have to think of ways for him to entertain himself because I dont have any toys or games at home. And since the pandemic I have stopped taking him out to crowded places.

@JudyEv I would regularly buy toys for the kids. But they take it with them when they go and I buy new toys for their next visit. This time I decided not to buy anything for him. May be I will make him play games on my laptop. I have my old laptop thats not being used so will download some games for him tomorrow.

@mayka123 We used to have a box of toys for visiting children atlhough we don't have any grandchildren but I donated them all when we moved.

He has been coming to stay with me from the time he was six months old. I would bring him home on Saturday after office and my daughter would come on Sunday to take him back.

@RebeccasFarm Thank you. He is very well behaved so I dont have any problems with him around. Never demands for anything and is happy with whatever is given to him.

Usually both brothers come together and keep me on my toes. This time I asked the younger one to come later as he troubles me a lot. And since I am not keeping too well I did not want to stress myself. He will come a few days later.

@aninditasen Today the younger grandson and granddaughter came to meet him and spent the day here while their parents went out for some work. The three of them kept me on my toes and I think I spent most of the day in the kitchen making one dish after the other.
