What's the temperature for your shower water?

Last year in December I got Covid-19 and at that time I especially felt so frozen. Even if I had quilts, but I still felt very cold.
When I had a shower, I even set the shower water to 42 centigrades but I didn't feel it very hot yet. I didn't set higher temperature to avoid any accidents as I thought 42 centigrades was high enough to have a shower.
After that, I keep this temperature when I have a shower. Now it is getting warmer and finally today I decided to set it as 37 centigrades as it was better to save the energy when the weather is warm. And this temperature is fine for me now If the weather keeps hotter, I shall set the water lower temperature.

I think they have to provide you with hot water. I don't know your city or state, Amber. But hot water is something all the landlords here are required to provide, or they get fined. You probably have a renter's association or a place where you live that advocates for renters, call them and ask. You need hot water, we all do! I don't know how you manage without it.

Well, we here in the US do not have a temperature gauge in the shower or bathtubs so I wouldn't be able to tell you how I like it other than hot. They do make stuff you could buy online to tell you if you have a young child and don't want it too hot for them. Otherwise, I use my hand and wait till gets hot enough to my liking.

@ShyBear88 The rubber ducks are a good idea to know the temperature.

@youless the back of the hand is more heat sensitive than our elbows but both work. We have rubber ducks that can tell the temp, or they will turn color when the water is warm or cold. I always used my hand to tell how hot it was for my kids. They are older now so they can just tell me if it's hot or cold or they fix it themselves. I only really have to keep somewhat of an eye on the 8-year-old when he takes a bath if he is in the shower not so much. I usually send his dad. Trying to teach him bathroom privacy.

In our shower there is no temperature regulator. We generally have the shower at around 30 degree celsius.

I've always like warm water when showering, but not hot. If the shower had settings labeled low, medium, high, I would choose low.

@youless Actually, I've always liked warm (not hot) water when I shower. And now more and more condos come equipped with hot showers because more and more people are asking for it. Also other hot countries like Singapore also have hot showers.

I don't know what temperature the water is. I like it hot for the start of the shower and then rinse with cooler water.

I usually use cold water to bathe. But it's because I don't like to wait for the water to get hot.
