I love cut flowers. I really do. A friend gave me tulips last week. The photo should show two of them. Soon this pair will have to enter the phase of cut flowers that I don't like. The toss them into the compost barrel phase. For now these tulips grace my kitchen sink. When they grace the dining room table Peter kitten nibbles their greens. The teapot was a gift from another friend. It is a Hall teapot- American made. At least I don't have to toss that beauty into the barrel!

What an interesting tea pot. I don't care much for cut flowers, if I had any flowers around here I'd want them to remain on the stalk to produce seeds eventually.

@rebelann Cut flowers are a glorious waste. Hubby gets sentimental at times and insists I buy some. Hall company made sweet teapots back in the 40s and 50s.

I love tulips but I don`t want them inside my apartment. I love to see them in the garden

I love the tulips and teapot. Beautiful. It's always sad when you need to toss the flowers. Enjoy them until then.

The teapot is really lovely. The owners of our house-swap left flowers in a vase for us and I've only just tossed out the last of them.

That's a lovely teapot. I like flowers on the stem.

Tulips are my favorite flower. There is just something about them that stands out to me.
