hot weather dinner

It was over 90F/32C today! Needless to say, I didn't want to use the stove to make dinner tonight, so we're having what we call "TikTok wraps".
A few years ago, long before I ever used the platform, someone on TikTok posted a video showing a handy little hack for making a tortilla sandwich by making a cut from the center of the tortilla to the edge and dividing the surface into quadrants, putting a different sandwich ingredient on each quadrant, then folding it up into a nice little triangle. It can be eaten as is or you can grill each side, depending on what you put inside the tortilla. Needless to say, this particular hack went viral and there are a zillion different ways that people will make them.
Each person in our house makes their wrap according to what they like. I put out sliced turkey, sliced ham, lettuce, tomato, pickles, 2 different kinds of sliced cheese (cheddar and American), mayo, mustard, sunflower butter, jam, and marshmallow creme (because one kid wanted to make a banana Fluffernutter wrap) and a package of tortillas. I have vegetable sticks (carrots, red pepper, cucumber) and ranch dip plus some store brand not-actually-Doritos as sides.
In case you'd like to make your own TikTok wrap someday, the image above explains how to prepare it. I'll also link the original video that started it all.

Pretty makes a sandwich like that but I'd rather just have bread, ham, turkey or chicken slices with a slice of American cheese and a dab of mayo on it. You know, a sandwich.
Pretty made grilled cheese sandwiches for "lunch" at 5 pm today. YUM! But our high today was only 51F, too.

@spiderdust I am almost out of bread as well. Anna made some today, but my Teleporter was down.

@TheHorse I'm sure Anna makes great bread, I imagine that she's a wonderful cook.

I am apparently out of sliced bread today, so the kids were into the tortillas at lunchtime too. I'll probably wait to buy bread until Monday when I go back to work.

My most successful meals often work like that.
