Have any of you ever been homeless?

I am lucky that so far I have had a roof over my head and whatever animal I have in my life has had a roof. I worry when I have to move if we will find something, but, so far so good.
Have any of you ever been homeless and if you want to share with us please let us know your story.
I am asking because it reminds me of something that was very personal that I will not be sharing here on Netflix about Europe during the Second World War. Someone said that they have no home and I could not feel what they meant but understood. She thought she lost her husband but he was a prisoner in a British camp and some people broke him out and brought him back to her. So many lost so much and since I was not there cannot explain how they must have felt.
So, I decided to write this post and sorry if it offends anyone. So many during the corona lost their jobs and homes and have to either live with family or on the streets so I was wondering if anyone here has ever been homeless and can relate to their pain. I know everyone has pain in something.

I am fortunate that I never faced the situation of being homeless. Yes, I have met many people during corona phase who lost their jobs and had no money to feed themselves and their families. That was the toughest time I have seen when people used to beg for food.

I still wear a mask and hope I find something soon but I have had one or two offers to stay at people's places and they have a big place and of course I would pay them rent and for what I use. It is a very scary thought to lose everything and for my people during the Holocaust they did not only lose their homes but their family as well. It must be a very hard thing. We have beggars here especially they are at the Wailing Wall or Wetern Wall and not so much in town anymore. They were told to leave and I hope they are ok but do not know if they have more money stashed somewhere or not. That is the question I would like to know those that do beg and have done it for a very long time not sure if they are really poor or not. Since I do not know them I do not know. Those that are not real give the ones that really need help a bad name and that is what bothers me. There are some real poor people out there and those that have money somewhere do not have to beg for more.

I have many times but rather not share here, as I would make my own discussion. I have typed here about some parts of us being homeless though.

I can understand that you want to explain in your own way if you want to explain it at all.

No, I have never been homeless, but growing up as a pastor’s daughter I met several people and families that were homeless that the church tried to help. One family in particular comes to mind: mother Petra (a German immigrant), her daughter Yvonne, and her son, Robert. Their father was American, but had drained their meager bank account and took off. Yvonne and Robert were biracial, and were apparently bullied for it at public school. The church gave them a scholarship to the Christian school I attended, and they did really well. One day on our way back from a field trip Yvonne pointed out this big, dilapidated building and told everyone that’s where she, Robert, and her mother had lived when they were homeless before they came to our school. Everyone got really silent. Very few kids at my school came from any money, but it’s like you could feel them considering what that would be like. As children, I just trusted that my parents could take care of me. I can’t imagine having the rug pulled out from under me when it doesn’t always end up that way.

I am sorry what happened to Yvonne and her family that they were homeless. I am sorry that the father was like that that would do that to his family. I am sorry about the bullying. There are too many bullies out there that do not care at all about others and themselves as well. It is not your parents because they care and worry about you. It is the situation and not your parents. You never know when the rug will be pulled out. Corona has ruined a lot of lives and they had work and then because the Corona came along they lost their jobs and their homes.

I almost experienced being homeless when my fathers business failed and we have to sell the house and everything that we have that time Good thing is that a big company hired me and we were able to find an apartment to rent and allowed us to pay slowly the deposit.
