What are these?

My mouse with tiny sand-like dots

I left my computer for a month and I forgot to put the cover on it. And then when I looked at it closely, there are these tiny dots on both the mouse and the monitor screen. It couldn't be removed just by swiping at it but I think a damp cloth would do with the mouse. But I'm kind of worried about the monitor screen 'cause I've heard you can't wipe monitor screens with a damp cloth? I always just wiped it with a dry microfiber cloth. Anybody know what these tiny dots are?

Possibly a type of mold or fungus growing, or (more likely) it is fly dirt/poop. You can wipe your screen off with a damp cloth (wring out excess moisture first).

Oh my. Maybe it is fly poop after all. There are a lot of mosquitoes in my room. Thanks for the tip!

You can get wipes for a computer screen which is what I use. The main thing, I think, is that they are not leaving lots of moisture on the screen that can run down and maybe get into the electonics

I think they are fungus or fungi droppings, you can quickly wipe them with computer tissue.
