I haven't been eating 100% gluten-free for over two years. Prior to this time, I was eating nothing outside of gluten-free food items.
No, I didn't buy everything on the market, to eat this way. Most of my meals were simply meat, vegetables, fruits and dairy products.
Of course, gluten-free bread was something I had to purchase, for toast, sandwiches, or as a breading for stuffing or meatloaf.
Slowly but surely, I changed my eating habits, to include more foods that contain gluten as an ingredient.
I never eat regular bread, it's considered a 'no-no' food in my diet. On top of this, I've developed about 25 food allergies.
Most of them are additives and preservatives that most food items contain. Two more bad ones are monosodium glutamate and MSG, which was outlawed in Europe years ago.
It's apparent that our Food and Drug Administration isn't very concerned about the public's health. Money is their first consideration!

If I watch my Ps and Qs closely, there aren't any bad health issues.

I don't care for the additives. I usually get potato bread or wheat.

@kobesbuddy One of our nieces has a son who has autism and at one point his pediatrician suggested that he go gluten free. The granola bars that she packed in his lunch pail for school were over a dollar a piece, and that was just one small part of his lunch. It was outrageous the prices on the food that she used to buy for him, and she had three other children to make lunches for.

98% of them, I don't buy. I only use the gluten-free bread and I don't eat a lot of bread. Those other items on the shelf, I don't buy them.

@kobesbuddy It's not only bad for our health, it is the cause of Amazon Forest deforestation.

And in the US, palm oil will be constantly used for another 15-20 years!

Gluten is a protein, that's found in most grains. Wheat and rye are the most common ones. I can simply eat corn, rice, and oat flour. Wheat/rye flour are deadly, for me.

@kobesbuddy I make biscuits from wheat flour. I can’t eat some foods but thank goodness I can have a biscuit. I gave up bread for awhile to get my glucose down and I might have to give It up again when I see my doctor.

MSG was outlawed in Europe?! I had no idea! I absolutely knew it isn't good for us, but had no idea other countries got the support to ban it. Smart people. I wish we had taken a little initiative. I did read we are very close to getting a ban passed here that Europe has already put into place. It's some kind of dye we use in candies here, I think. I believe it's been linked to cancer in mice.

@kobesbuddy Wow. I had no idea how little I knew. And how hard must have that been on you!

@AmbiePam I was in terrible shape, spent hours a day in the bathroom. The specialist did a thorough examination on my intestines and helped me get healthy again. That gluten-free diet was very strict, but it did work!

@kobesbuddy That is absolutely amazing. I knew it could help people with autism or celiac disease, but not that.

I have no specific diet required but somehow I have lost the taste for bread. Then I tried the hard rolls from Walmart and I love those so I always have those with everything even scrambled eggs.

Yes and they have this fake " no additives or no preservatives added " tales on their packages I hate this lie since you wonder when you look at the shelf life of a food item it goes for five years then you wonder how long without a preservative or additive?
Misleading information to the consumers and the chemicals they use are so dangerous to our health
