Have you typed out a discussion and then it just disappears? / myLot

I typed out a long discussion a few minutes back and don't know what happened. I did not press the Start Discussion button may be. When checking my latest discussions I realised the discussion was not posted. I need to be more attentive next time so that this does not get repeated. Has this happened to you too?

Yes, it did, and it was because my discussion was not appropriate. You may want to ask Alice. @GoAskAlice

I understand when inappropriate discussions disappear. This one I think I did not post it after typing and feel it was my fault the discussion did not get posted.

I always write my discussions in Word then cut and paste to myLot. That way, I have the work saved elsewhere if something happens and the discussion doesn't post.

That use to happen to me before if I took too long to type it up and then try to post it. I would find that it just got erased and would have to type it all up again. What I have been doing now it type it in Word and then paste it in here and put the title and keywords and submit and it seem to work for me.

I think that is the best option. I will also keep a separate word file only for mylot discussions.

Yes just yesterday, because my discussion was not fit to be discussed on mylot..i think yours too had the same issue

My discussion did not go against any rules. Admin here has also confirmed the same. I was sure I made a mistake somewhere and the discussion did not get posted.

I have had that happen. I don't know why. If I am sure it is appropriate, I will try again. If I have any doubts, I rewrite it and try again another day. A couple of times, I have checked with @GoAskAlice about posting a story I was not sure of and he told me it was not appropriate to use on myLot. I was glad I asked first. I try to follow all the rules.

Some discussions are banned and I too have experienced that a few times. But this one I was sure was not posted or deleted. It just disappeared into thin air!!!
