Hair Dyeing is Done...

Yesterday I shared that I was fixing up my hair.
First I had to bleach my roots since they had grown in quite a bit.
After that, I added the color - Lusty Lavender by Splat. I don't usually use box dyes, but that was all I could get at the time.
I will say it did not turn out exactly how I wanted. I wanted it to all be the darker purple color. I think I didn't have enough dye, so some places I didn't saturate with color. Also, I only left it in for a half an hour or so and should have left it in for at least an hour.
The color that did take is very nice though. Not sure if you can tell in the photo of the spots that didn't take as well.
What do you think of the color?

It’s very noticeable I like it. Had you not bleached it first it would only be a hint of color. It looks like it got on your scalp a bit but it’ll go away off there soon from what I recall from doing my first husbands hair years ago.

@MommyOfEli2013 ohh hmm do you usually use a paste then or something? I’ve never dyed my hair to I’m not familiar with all the different kinds. I remember buying my daughter a kind that was semi-permanent and red I think manic panic was the brand.

This dye got everywhere, that's one reason I don't like the box dyes lol. I have done my own hair since I was 18 so I am familiar with this happening lol.

@shaggin I usually use ones like Manic Panic or Artic Fox, etc...they still can stain but never been as bad as this was

Well thank you, although you can see the dye I got on my forehead LOL. This dye got everywhere
