Cable car ride

The first time I got to experience a cable car ride was in Kashmir, Srinagar. The disturbing part was getting in and getting out The car had its own schedule and it waited for none We just had to grab it while it landed and sit in it. Same was the story getting out It stayed there only for a few seconds and in those seconds we had to get out. By and by I got used to it and today I can say I have had many occasions to experience cable car rides that I enjoyed - Australia, Singapore, Switzerland... Have you been on cable car rides? What was your experience? Image credit:

That getting in and out quickly makes me wonder about the safety. I'm not sure I can handle such height now though the view is gorgeous.

@allknowing I am not agile these days. That sounds hazardous.

I think the first cable car ride I ever had was actually at the zoo, and it was quite fun as a child.

Normally cable cars are used to cross valleys or over some water bodies. Was it that way too for you?

@allknowing The cable cars were much smaller at the zoo than what we normally ride in when go over valleys and such. They were purposefully made to be quaint, and to give you a view from way up high over the zoo. It certainly wasn’t the spectacle of normal cable cars.

I have been many times, not only in Austria, France and Switzerland, but also in Italy. I realize that they are less safe than I thought. So many accidents in the recent years.

Yes, I had been on cable car ride when I visited Ocean Park in Hong Kong many years ago. I quite enjoyed the experience.
