Yesterday was a beautiful day! We got up early because our youngest had a 5k race with his school running club. They were all entered into a race not far from where we live. His running buddy was Pop (grandpa) he is a runner and loves to do races so thought to ask him if he would like to participate with his grandson vs me. (I don't mind running.) He said yes because the kids can't run solo by themselves in case something happens. He did well to come in 104th place took him 38 minutes to pass the finishing line. For an 8-year-old that isn't that bad.

No, it's not especially for a 5k.

There was also the 10k going on, the 5k he was in and the 5k fun run.

I do not know if I could run the 5K race. I have trouble walking that far at on time.

Some people run, and some people walk it. He is 8 so I wasn't sure if he was actually going to run or not but he did run the whole 5k.

That's great! And how special that his grandfather was with him.

He showed up last year for moral support this year he ran with our little guy. My little man said he is sighing up next year for it again. He likes the BIM at school.
