I'm in need of a laptop.
So I went to browse an electronics store this morning!
The gentleman who was advising me, said to choose a macbook air M1. Because it's durable for the next 10 years.
I've always owned a Windows operating system, so I'm clueless to ios. But I do love the design of the macbook air, so elegant and light.
Do any of you own macbook air?
If so, do you suggest I spend the extra money on one?

Choosing a laptop can be overwhelming with so many options out there. The MacBook Air is definitely a great choice if you're looking for a lightweight and durable option. As for spending the extra money, it really depends on your personal needs and budget. If you're willing to invest in a high-quality product that will last you for years, then the MacBook Air might be worth the extra expense. But if you're on a tight budget, there are other good options out there as well. Ultimately, it's important to do your research and choose the option that fits your needs and preferences best.

In terms of hardware durability you can depend on getting a mac laptop. But if you are not familiar with Mac OS you should study how you will navigate it first before you decide to get one since it might take you sometime to figure out how to open a file or navigate yourself in the laptop since it is very different in Windows OS.

I have only used microsoft windows and chromebook. The sales man may be telling the truth but they most likely work on a commission and are trying to sell to make that paycheck

I used to have everything Apple and I researched the Macbook Air extensively before buying the less expensive white macbook 13 in. laptop. If you can afford the extra money for it, go for it. They really are great computers and definitely will last you for 10 or more years. I didn't buy it because I couldn't afford the extra money but even my 13-inch Macbook lasted for like 12 years. Apple products are an investment. And a lot of the software for them is free so that is an added value over Microsoft which charges a ton for its services and especially the bundles like the whole Microsoft Office Suite.
