An emu named Erasmus was inside of his home in Grant Minnesota on Thursday when Erasmus was walking back and forth at the fence separating the enclosure at the Idylwood Equestrian Center when he jumped over the fence to the treatment center's yard. Erasmus thought a disc golf net in the yard looked like a female emu which made the male emu jump the fence which prompted Jaime Brenner who is the owner of the Idylwood Equestrian Center to call the Washington County Sheriff's Office (WCSO) to investigate the case of the missing emu. The case was solved quickly since Erasmus was seen eating an apple with a homeowner. The emu was not harmed in the incident which is a good to know since the last thing the police wanted to do was to engage in a chase with the emu. Link is 98online.com/2023/05/08/dis...

@celticeagle It looks that way that Doug thinks the emu can be bossed around.

This is rather funny as he though that the disc golf net was what he thought to be a female emu.

I found it funny myself that a disc golf net looking a female emu attracted Erasmus.

I read that there was also an emu that people were chasing around but couldn't catch it. I guess this is another one. It's good that they were able to catch it before it could run away.

Emus are hard to catch when they engage in runs away from humans.

I think we got the renegade emu here. I wish it were that easy to catch this one.

I am in agreement with you that Erasmus is an easy emu to deal with than the renegade emu in your area.
