I have chosen to sign up for a YouTube channel on psychology. This subject has always interested me. Today I was listening to a video about narcissistic personalities and how they are formed. I was very interested to learn that temperament may have to do a lot with children growing up to be narcissistic. Experts seem to feel that temperament is an inherited trait. You may have had the sad experience of a newborn baby who is extremely hard to soothe. They cry and cry and cry and just do not seem to calm down and fall asleep. This can be due to an inherited temperament. And, if you think about it, these babies grow up to be kids that parents may not really closely bond with and teachers may not like. So these kids grow up to feel unloved, unappreciated, misunderstood, etc. I found this to be very interesting.
Your thoughts.

I do know that it’s hard to be around someone with a narcissistic personality.

Isn't that putting the blame on the parents for the child's behavior?

Interesting. Psychology is a complex subject; and you could spend a long time learning about the different traits, etc. Have a great weekend.
