I had a frustrating start to my day when I couldn't get my desktop PC to connect to the internet. But as luck would have it, my phone was connected via Wi-Fi with no problem.
After rebooting my PC and modem, the issue persisted, leaving me scratching my head. Then it hit me - earlier that morning, I had installed a VPN software to get around social media app blocks in Pakistan.
But in my haste, I had shut down the PC improperly, which caused a major hiccup.
So I fired up the VPN, clicked on "connect to VPN server" and voila! My local area network's icon lit up, and my PC was suddenly back online.
Once I disconnected the VPN, everything was working smoothly again. If you ever encounter internet connection woes, keep this trick in mind - it just might save you some headaches!
