What we are going to talk about is how these current AI Chatbots are just the onramp to a bigger, better and more fun HoloDeck-centered life that will be here one day soon. In the very near future, in a HoloDeck near you, you'll be able to do really really cool things like stay in the Fast Food House. Help Linus build a computer. Play slots with Pompsie and Greta. Help Jaret and Dado build a motorcycle. Sit in with the Young Turks. Have a split-screen telephone conversation with Indy. Teach Alton Brown how to cook...And so on. You name it, you can do it. With the nearly lifelike AI versions of them. They are only nearly lifelike but that's a huge feature, not a bug like a negative person like you is probably thinking. Because, for just one example, is the real Linus going to ask you to help him build a computer? Not in a million years. Will the real Linus admit that you know more about CPUs than he does? Not in ten million years. But the AI Linus will...That's why they should stop calling it AI and start calling it II. Or I Squared. For Improved Intelligence.
