Perhaps the most famous sculpture from the Albany Bulb, where my friend and I hiked the other day.

We call her the sun goddess. She may be male for all we know. We have added small things to her, but nothing that can be seen in the picture. She is pointed pretty much due West. At last I think so. I took this photo on Sunday at about 1:30 PM, so the sun was high in the sky and directly behind me. Notice the radio towers in the background, to her right, our left. We live in an urban area. But there are nice hikes all around the San Francisco Bay Area. We have no idea how this one came to be, as she is maybe 15 feet tall. Would you add something if you came upon "fluid art"?

I am not sure I would add something, unless I notice an object that would look great once added.

Yes, for the most part I leave things alone.

@LadyDuck Looks god? Well, we do consider her to be a sun goddess. I think people would only add minor things to this one.

Is this area a tourist attraction with all the sculptures? Very cool sun goddess. I doubt that I would add anything to a sculpture.

Actually, it's not known by that many people, and that's a good thing. It is mostly hiked my locals whose friends told them about it.

@LindaOHio Are you quoting one of my favorite SNL skits? The Tom Hanks character reminds me of me.

No, I'd admire it and move on. I'm sure it looks real nice, too.

@TheHorse Unless it was obvious, I wouldn't notice.

@kaylachan I'm thinking of bringing her some bunny slippers.

Most of the additions are small.

No, I wouldn't. I'd admire it for what it is and leave it alone. (I know other people add to that type of sculpture but I wouldn't be comfortable doing that. *shrug*)

@TheHorse Maybe... When I was still on the farm, I built teepees and wooden huts and stayed in them on beautiful nights. I'm not really creative so probably wouldn't make a sculpture of any kind. I just look at and admire what others create.

@DaddyEvil I am glad that people mostly respect each others' art at this place. It's pretty cool.

Perhaps you would create your own sculpture with what's around. That all I did this past weekend.

That took some time to make. I don't know if I would add to it or not

It can be something as trivial as a guitar pick or a note pad for those who want to write something.

That's pretty neat. She looks really good. I guess I'd add something if I had anything appropriate - or even not (appropriate!).

It's all interactive, and mutually respectful (for the most part). Many people add thing like spoons necklaces, etc. It can be a lot of fun.

It does look like you have interesting hikes. I would probably not add anything, unless I had found a really unique "something" different from all the rest.

I sometimes just leave guitar picks. Especially at the center of the labyrinths that are common in the Bay Area.

This one doesn’t impress me as much as the others. I probably wouldn’t add anything to any sculpture on the off chance my addition would be the final straw that would bring the entire “house” down.

Hey, she's a goddess. She doesn't have to be beautiful. I might tell her you said that.
