Happy Wednesday from this side of the planet . It's sunny and hot outside. Unusually hot summer for our city... blame Global warming and Climate change . I hope it rains today later. We didn't get any rain in the last three days despite having hot and sunny days. Very unusual for Bangalore and no one would believe that this city could also experience a real summer.
My younger daughter started with a new academic year today. She was pretty excited for the first day of school. . She is in class 12 and that's an important year in Indian education system as it is your last year at school and then you step to college.
Husband left for office late at 11 as he had to finish an early morning business call from home.
The house is quiet with me being alone. I could catch up with a lot of pending household chores in the last two days. The home remedies are working for my sore throat and I am much better today. There are still some to catch up and then things will be on regular track . Well, so much piles up at home if one doesn't pay much attention for few days. Household chores are like a vicious cycle, they never end
Today, I went for my hour long walking in the morning. And I am glad that at least I started with my exercise after a week break. I felt the inertia but glad that I forced myself out of bed. I am glad that I did
Now, it is time for my lunch. I had an early breakfast and now I am hungry. I will meet you in the notifications after my lunch and washing few dishes.
Hope all is going well in your corner

Yeah, household chores make up an unending cycle of tasks. I'm glad you were able to go for your long walk again. I'm trying too to increase my walks. and all is well here in my corner of the world.
I hope too that you will be cured completely of your sore throat soon. Have a great day.

I am feeling a bit lazy and off track. Maybe because I got exhausted as well as stressed last week. Also with bad throat, the energy level is pulled down. I had to push myself and glad that I did
You can start increasing them slowly. I went at a slower pace. I didn't feel too energetic to go fast or jog.

I just went in and cooked some chicken and pasta with broccoli in it. Then washed the dishes I dirtied making it... It's time for my late supper. I would offer to share but not sure it would still be good if I mailed some to you.
I need to go in and clean the bathroom sometime tonight so Pretty can mop the floors... I'm just feeling lazy today.
I hope your day is good.

@arunima25 Thank you. Pretty won't eat anything with broccoli in it so I'd definitely be willing to share this. It's enough for three people.
It has been a little cooler here today. It has rained every day this last week and that brings the temps down. I was comfortable at 60F/15C early today but started feeling chilly around 11 pm... I checked the thermometer in the house and it showed it was still 72F/22C So I got a blanket and pulled it over my legs.
I just put the rest of the chicken and pasta in the fridge for tomorrow. I'm still not in the mood for cleaning, though.

@DaddyEvil Well, brocolli can be picked up and kept aside. Pretty can enjoy the rest of the dish. You can enjoy her share of brocolli too.
It's dark clouds and sun playing hide and seek here. They did the same yesterday but then the clouds disappeared without any rain. I hope that it rains today.
I am in no mood to clean the kitchen stove and chimney today. Maybe I should just iron all the laundry that I did in the last two days instead. But not now. I will be mylotting and maybe one more site for next two hours till my daughter returns home from school.
After spending some time with her, I would go ahead with other set of chores.

Your meal sounds good and I will be happy to share it. I don't mind eating chicken once in a while. The last one I ate was two years back.. And I just love brocolli.
I cleaned the master bedroom bathroom after my lunch. I had kept it for tomorrow but then I didn't feel like cleaning the kitchen stove and chimney that was for today . I rather cleaned tge bathroom. Anyway I felt too hot and wanted a second bath. So, I entered the bathroom and cleaned it. Feeling a bit better after bath. I should clean the kitchen stuffs very early in the morning. Later it is becoming too hot.
I have been feeling lazy too but I am pushing myself a bit to get at least a few things done around.

@arunima25 - Weather is changing, we cannot plan when to seed and when to plant because the seasons are no more the same as they used to be.

Weather is acting crazy. Not sure what to blame. Our city has seen a lot of tree cutting in recent years in the name of urban development. We can see the impact. A decade back, even ceiling fans were not much used here. They were more than enough for summer. But now this year, many people are buying AC. We switched on AC last night. We wanted to avoid it because of our sore throats, but then we couldn't sleep.

@LadyDuck Actually, it's the case everywhere. A lot of crops of mango in North India got damaged because of untimely rain in April when there were blooms. They got washed away. And when they actually need rain , it is not there.

I always prefer cold over hot. Too much heat makes me sick. I loose my appetite too. And it does drain us physically. I am not able to do much work. After every chore, I am sweating and have to rush under fan.
My Wednesdays was okay. The clouds came but it didn't rain . Hope it does today.
I hope you too get some relief from the rising mercury. Have a good time

I hope too..That will save me from a big chore of watering the hundred pots on my terrace garden. I plan to do it in the evening around sunset. I see some dark clouds and sun playing hide and seek. They did the same yesterday but it didn't rain. I hope it rains today.

Here, the temperature would never get hot earlier years. Bangalore is known well for it's pleasant weather throughout. But now it's getting crazy. It's hot and I had to switch on AC last night. I hope it rains today.

Yes, she does. Though she is not as clear as my elder one who was very determined for courses and colleges too. Younger one wants to pursue Commerce in her graduation and then decide after four years, if she would like to do some professional courses in Commerce and Finance. She wants to explore a bit. Also, continuing her Music alongside. She wants to own her business some day

Household chores and related stuff-
Cooking
Utensils
Machine or Handwash of clothes, drying and setting
Dusting (often neglected if we are busy)
Grocery
and a few more - they never stop!
I think Bangalore (Bengaluru)is suffering from global warming as well as the friction and games between Siddharamiah and DkShivakumar factions !!
Apart from the warming, a recent forecast of slightly below par monsoons worries me.
Sometimes unseasonal rains cause problems of crop damage.
Plus delayed rains at other times impact sowing.
If different parties work for people instead of keep in fighting and looting money from national treasure, more can be done to combat climate change and providing more irrigation facilities.
Anyways, that is an endless debate.
So what came on to your Breakfast and Lunch plates?

That are good breakfast and lunch options.
I too hope that now the Congress folks focus more on Governance rather than showing who is more capable or who has more supporters..
But often petty politics scores over the more urgent needs.

It's never ending cycle with chores...they never end and we have to neglect a few each day due to no mood or tiredness.
With the current government, I hope they spend more time in governance than resolving their conflicts. They might act as one in power and one in opposition at the same time
I wish that we had more clean politicians. It's a problem globally.
I was too busy with gardener today. So it was idli and leftovers ( sambhar and chutney from yesterday) for breakfast. I made jowar and moong dal daliya with loads of veggies for lunch. A single pot dish and we had it with curd, pickle and papad.

@allknowing My permanent household help who assists me in doing extra chores in the afternoon is not well. She fell down and has got a clot in her neck to brain region. She is advised to take rest for at least a month. And poor thing! She lost her Dad last week. It's been ten days that she has not come. And she will not be coming till June end.I have to manage with extra chores. The one who comes for dusting, sweeping and mopping finished her work has just left.

Actually with this kind of heat, I am also dragging myself. Had bath after my exercise and then 45 minutes in the kitchen to cook and pack for my husband and daughter made me sweat, another bath with sweat. Here, I will rest for a while before I get up to change bedsheets in two rooms.

You are so right about those household chores piling up if you let them slide by for a few days. That's where I'm at since my daughter was off from work and we were busy. Today I'm trying to get back in the groove.
Hope your daughter enjoys her last year in grade 12. My grandson is just graduating from grade 12 and will be heading off to college by August.

Last whole week, I had to ignore the house. I was only doing the bare minimum. My relative was critical and in ICU for two days. And still under recovery. I had these ups and downs to the hospital every day. And the hospital is in another corner of the city. It's 90 minutes drive one way. I was stressed and exhausted. And the heat here made it worse.
Hope you get back to groove soon. I am almost back to track, just dragging myself to finish few things. The heat is sapping all my energy.
That sounds great! Wishing your grandson luck for his future endeavours.
Take care.

Yesterday the dark clouds came and stayed for a while building all hopes. But it didn't rain . I totally agree there with Global warming and Climate change. All places in the world are experiencing unusual crazy weather, extreme temperatures.
I hope that today the dark clouds come and don't betray us. We need this rain badly.
Usually people would complaint about too much rain in Bangalore but not this time. The maximum the temperature went in Summer used to be 34_37( on hottest days). degrees Celsius. This year it's almost touching 40 and little above. May used to be so pleasant here.
