Hi guys, Hope you all are doing good. I am doing well too. In today's age of technology where we send emails, texts and do calls, the art of writing letters or cards is slowly fading away. The objective to celebrate this day is to ensure that the art of writing doesn't fade away completely. Humans have been writing since thousands of years as to send messages to one another. The rulers back in history use to write letters in order to send messages. It was in 2012 that "World Stationery Day" created in order to see that the art of writing doesn't go extinct as feared by some. I am sure that the art of writing won't fade away as still in schools it's encouraged to write by students. Also I have heard and seen many adults maintaining journals and To Do List as in everyday planner as it becomes easy for them to do stuff and keep account of things to be done or experiences shared in the journals. Let me know your thoughts about it. Have a good day. Take care.

Here cursive writing is not taught any longer which I think is a shame. I write in a journal and still send thank you notes and birthday cards.

That's a shame. I don't know whether it's taught anymore here or not. Glad to know that you write letters and cards. Thanks for sharing. Have a good day. Take care

The last time I bought and used stationary I was probably in my twenties. Back then, people really appreciated a hand written letter.

I love pretty stationary. Haven't written any letters or love letters lately. But used to write on pretty stationary.
