US President Joe Biden has changed his plans to visit Australia because discussions about the country's debt ceiling are stuck. Biden was supposed to go to Australia after going to Japan for a meeting with other important leaders, but now he will go straight back to the US to talk to Republican politicians about the debt ceiling. The debt ceiling is the maximum amount of money the US government can borrow, and if it's not raised, the government might run out of money by June 1.
Biden wanted to visit Australia and Papua New Guinea to talk about security and give a speech in Australia's parliament, but now that won't happen. The White House said they still want to work with Australia and other Pacific Island countries in the future, and Biden invited the Australian Prime Minister to visit the US. The White House also wants Republicans in Congress to raise the debt limit because it's important for the US to have credibility and leadership.
The Australian Prime Minister said that the meeting with leaders from the Quadrilateral Security Dialogue, which includes Australia, the US, India, and Japan, is very important. It will be held in Sydney on May 24 and will bring economic benefits to Australia.
I can’t imagine U.S. going through such times. Do you think it points out to Biden’s failed economic policy or there are other elements at play?

Are people in the US becoming more critical of Biden, would you say?

@zainkhan121 Absolutely. And, Democrats are afraid he can be beaten, but they can’t find a better candidate for 2024. Meanwhile, the majority of Republicans fear their best choice is Trump, and they don’t want him either! Certainly, a few deluded conservatives still lend their support to Trump, but the American people will not be electing him again. It’s a total crapshoot on who will inhabit the White House in the next Presidential election.

@AmbiePam But Trump is facing severe challenges and being backed into a corner. There are doubts about whether he would even be permitted to participate in the upcoming elections.
