Texas Trip Update #5: 45 miles to Beaumont, Texas

We have made really good time and progress today, and we just drove past a sign that said we are forty five miles away from Beaumont, Texas. So that means we should be in Galveston in about 2.5 hours, maybe a little less or maybe a little more depending on what traffic is like. We will be getting a hotel tonight, and showering before going to get dinner. Although I may just have dinner delivered. I'm kind of exhausted, and honestly don't think I am going to geel like going back out after we get a hotel room. There hasn't been anything else that exciting, except the Tiger truck stop/gas station that had two stuffed tigers inside the store. I didn't realize how "southern" this picture was until I noticed that behind the tiger there was beer and Zippo lighters. Ahhh, classy.
