Staying hydrated

Water bottle on a cycle

The kids who play in the park on summer evenings have to stay hydrated. And they never forget their water bottles. This little girl decided to clip it on to a carrier on her bicycle, so it doesn't get misplaced. Whatever works! My daughter makes me carry one and I keep it on one of the steps or cemented areas. One day, I think I'll forget t take it back after her playtime!!

My husband left a few whenever he took our daughters to play area when they were young. Good that he remembered in time and went back to get it. It's very important to stay hydrated in this kind of heat. Good that the children are taking care of that.

We've forgotten to take it on a few days and ended up coming home thirsty.

@pitstop Hmm... understandable. And kids are so much physically active in park. They will definitely feel thirsty. I never leave my home without a water bottle. Even when walking, I put one that we get in flights in my pocket.

It would be awesome if the park provides drinking fountains, or better yet water jugs with ice cubes for the kids who want to drink cold water.

This is in a residential complex. So nobody actually owns the park

@pitstop The complex owner should do that. You could recommend this to him/her.

I hope that the water bottle never sits under the sun. Do you know how many dangerous chemicals get into the water if the bottle sits in the sun?

I like to knock kids down and take their water bottles. I get cramps if I don't stay hydrated.

How about inventing a water bottle alarm system or hiring a personal water bottle carrier? Hey, if it works for the little girl in the park, maybe it's time we take hydration matters into our own hands, or should I say, onto our own bicycles!

I'm so glad that you are giving your kids water and not sugary drinks because they are already hyper as it is without the sugary drinks or junk food so kudos to you for giving them water over anything else.
