Since I was a child; I have been fascinated with watching lightning bugs. When I was a lot younger; I use to live in a state where there were no lightning bugs. I then moved to the south part of the USA to where there are a lot of lightning bugs.
I am thinking about going outside tonight and watch some lightning bugs. I like how the lightning bugs can light up like a little flashlight.

I live around 6 miles from the closest town. I have no problems seeing lightning bugs at night.

@Scrapper88 That's really cool. Where my dad grew up is perfect for it too.

What state was that Keith with no lighting bugs?
We always had them when I was a child in Missouri.

here where I live, brazil, there are many fireflies is a coleopteran insect that has light emissions, that is, it is capable of producing its own light through body chemical reactions
we even have another name for them, firefly
The organ responsible for this emission of light is phosphorescent and is located in the lower part of the abdomen.
nature is very beautiful and interesting, very sad to see the animal that they say is the most intelligent destroy everything.
In our forest, the Amazon, there are many animals that have not been cataloged until today.
