I think there is nothing wrong with a wife helping her husband in financial matters. Because the household stands with two people who work together. Can't birds fly with one wing?

If they can’t make it on just his full time income, and she is physically able to work, then sure she should contribute. When the bills got too much for my parents after adding two children to the family, my mom got a full time job. Years later, her health declined, and she had to quit, but she contributed as long as she could.

As women have been exposed to opportunities they really help in the house and it's a good thing . Am glad your mama was a real hardworker a characteristic carried by most women in the world

I believe there should be 2-income in the family. The wife should help the husband with the expenses of the household and the children's needs. Nowadays, life is difficult we have to help each other.

In my opinion , Ultimately, the arrangement for paying bills should be based on the couple's financial situation and needs. It should not be solely based on gender roles or stereotypes. Both partners should work together to ensure that their financial responsibilities are met and that they are supporting each other in a loving and respectful manner.
Also, most importantly, both partners should not take each others for granted.

If the wife is earning a sensible income I think she should as she too is part of the family and is using all the amenities at home.

@Subase That's how a family should be. Both partners should be organized and compassion.

When the wife has her own income, of course she should.

Yes she can help and also the husband should also work to provide but not take advantage of that. You know some men can be Very heartless and become so lazy ending up frustrating the woman financially

@Subase otherwise why live together and not help each other? It will be pointless right?
