Got a surprise on myself

I never predicted being given a major depression and anxiety disorder diagnosis. I assumed that the reason I worry excessively and feel unhappy is simply that I am stressed out at work. But after noticing a number of symptoms that seemed out of the ordinary strange, I made the decision to see a psychiatrist about it, and lo and behold, I discovered that I was already exhibiting signs of anxiety and depression.
The medication seemed to work, especially on my sleep pattern, which seems to have significantly improved since I could sleep through the night, and I have to consult my doctor again this weekend after taking the medications to see how it is working on me. I hope the improvements would continue on and get out from this condition soon.![](/Content/images/emotes/sad.gif)

@DaddyEvil Just need more doctor appointments on this one so she can evaluate my progress in the coming days. I am hoping that it would lessen as time goes by.

@allknowing I am not doing exact same position but when I feel the anxiety is really strong I do lie down close my eyes and breathe. It helps a lot.

@rsa101 Shavasana is where you order every part of you body. to relax You say it in your mind starting from your feet - you keep saying my legs are relaxed and so on till you reach the head

@averygirl72 It took me a month before I was able to convince myself to consult a psych. I realize that if I do not consult earlier it might get worse and should so it right now that I seem to be able to control it and manage it. I am glad I followed my instinct and accepted I am not ok.

So far mine is still being evaluated and was given a medication to counter it. I am not well I guess. I am ok physically but not on my mental health I guess. So far I am able to sleep at night straight already unlike in the past days where my sleeps is always interrupted.

I'm so glad you took such a positive step! A lot of us need a little help at times in life, and I know from experience. As you continue with the medications and work with your doctor I know you will improve as long as you stick with the plan you and your medical professional come up with.
You're doing good!

I was actually in denial for a month but after feeling low without any reason I started to believe there is really something wrong with me it is not physical but I guess more like a mental health issue. I faced the truth and consulted a doctor and truly indeed it was confirmed.

I did try meditation although not an expert on that by listening to music it worked for me in the past but this time my anxiety levels went up to a point of almost uncontrollable anymore like there are physical symptoms like BP rising, heartbeat going fast then it goes down all of a sudden. I did allow myself checked in emergency but blood works and ECG went normal readings which is weird.

I'm sorry to hear you're having these sorts of problems. Being able to get a decent sleep will hopefully help a lot.

I guess it is time to prioritize mental health.
