I know if I was in the position of Hollywood Florida and saw an iguana inside of a toilet, I would walk away as soon as possible due to the fear of an iguana striking me in self defense. John Riddle is the man who saw the iguana inside of a toilet on Friday when he noticed that the bathroom off his pool deck was open. John was shocked to see an iguana hissing at him which caused John to walk away. John said that the iguana did climb out of the toilet about one hour later when the iguana then went to his swimming pool before the iguana went into his backyard. John was not hurt in the incident with the iguana. My feeling is that the iguana needed to have a place to get away from a hot day in the neighborhood. Link is clickorlando.com/news/local/202...

That would have been freaky. I'm sure the local government would have preferred he found away to humanely euthanize it since they are a pest in Florida, and it is legal to kill them (as you know, you can also eat them). * I don't think they want every type of iguana in Florida killed though.

I did not know that iguanas can be killed by wildlife authorities and eat them.

@AmbiePam Thank you for informing me that beating an iguana is against the law in Florida like killing alligators is forbidden,

@Deepizzaguy Well, I’m sure you knew beating them was illegal. I just mentioned it because it was a recent story. So killing alligators overall is not allowed? Someone told me in Louisiana they were cooked in restaurants. Was that a mistake by them?

@LadyDuck The funny thing is that most frogs that I did see in my former residence were quiet.

I know what you mean since when I lived in La Boca which was close to the Panama Canal, there were a lot of frogs in the backyard and in the grass area. I do not remember seeing iguanas in the area though.

Poor iguana it was probably just cooling off and glad no one got hurt in this incident, If I did not use that toilet too much I would have left it so the iguana had a place to go if he wanted to , I am a big animal lover,

I would also leave any iguana that enters a toilet myself.

Iguanas are a serious problem in Florida. They are killing them by the hundreds and still they thrive. They are an invasive species from South America.

I have heard stories on the news that many creatures like iguanas came from South America and now reside in Florida and other states in the land.

I am in agreement with you since when I lived in La Boca Panama, there were a lot of frogs that visited the back yard of my former neighborhood which was near a canal..

And this ends your steak of good news items. Things like that happen in Florida. Glad no humans or iguanas were harmed in this incident!

I agree with you that the good news story came to an end since I normally look for good news on Microsoft news. I used the website of an Orlando odd news site.

I am in agreement with you that an iguana would scare me as well if I saw one in a toilet.
