Another splash of colour in the sky last evening.

Another sunset

After the encouraging responses to the post, I made an extra effort to catch the sunset today and consciously look at the colors. I wasn't disappointed. I noticed that the 'colorful' phase is very transient and most of the time it is just a little touch of orange or very light. It's much more intense only for 15 minutes or so. The buildings also tend to block the colors lower in the sky. Maybe I need to get higher and look further into the horizon to get even better colors!

If it wasn't for all the trees around where I live; I could take good pictures of colorful sunsets like that.

The trees themselves add to the beauty I guess!

Our living room face east, so we see sunrise, sunset is at the back of our home. I take more pictures of sunrise than sunset.

My room faces east too. I can see the coors of sunset only when I'm out. Buildings actually block the actual sunset.

@pitstop We have no buildings or houses in front of us, I can enjoy the sunrise when I am sipping my second coffee of the morning.

Our front window faces west; and our deck faces east. That's a lovely sunset picture.

We have found the same as you. The more intense colouring doesn't last long.

I’m jealous. I can’t make a picture of sunsets because of the trees, I could walk to the street but there’s too much traffic that time of evening. Your pictures beautiful.
