A lot of people have been raving about the Thai mango sticky rice. To anyone who hasn't heard of it, it's sticky rice (mixed with coconut milk and sugar) paired with condensed milk and yellow mangoes. I got the photo from google because I forgot to take a pic. I finally tried it last night, when my mom tried to make it. I say 'tried' because she cooked the sticky rice in a slightly different way, putting ginger on it. The taste of ginger was kind of strong so I had to put a LOT of condensed milk on the rice. But overall, it's good! I'm sure I would have enjoyed it more without the ginger. I see why a lot of people like it. I would 100% eat it again. What about you, mylotters? Have you tried mango sticky rice?

@LadyDuck We do eat them as delicacy. Many elders prepare sticky rice delicacies.

What do you call that dish in your place? I haven't seen or tasted it myself. In what place can that be found?

I guess it's still mango sticky rice? I'm not sure where you can buy it here in Philippines but I'm sure there are places that sell it.

I haven't tasted it yet, but I think I would like it. My granddaughter and I often eat rice with ripe, raw mango as our side dish and it's quite good.

I know it is a tropical style and it is delicious. Although here we almost don't use mangoes to make a dish.
