I just finished my 2nd consult with my psychiatrist and so far I have told her my 1st observation from my 2 weeks of taking the medicine. There was a lot of improvement in terms of my sleeping pattern as I can now sleep straight through the night. The anxiety seems to be there still but it now comes in like waves and does not stay still in me. I think that was an improvement as the doc says to reduce the dose and see how it will affect me. If everything goes well then I will see her in the next 30 days.

Wow, that's a huge improvement. I'm glad to know it. Thank you for loving yourself and brave enough to consult with the expert.
I hope you can get even better as time goes by.

@RubyHawk Yes, the sleep I lack had further fed my anxiety to strengthen and almost took over me. The meds were I think right on time to stop the habit of waking up in the mid of the night. Now, my sleep is straight and I wake up a bit refreshed but I think the anxiety is still there as I still feel it in my body creeping but it does not affect me that much as I can control it.

At first, I was in denial too that my sleeping problem would pass away but it didn't and many symptoms were showing up like irrational panic and other things. I finally decided that there is something wrong with me which is why I consulted and based on my psychiatrist I have depression with anxiety disorder. When she gave me my meds my sleep just got solved though the anxiety was still here and it attacks me randomly during the day.

Glad you are better now.
Talking to someone, taking medication, and seeking professional help will definitely improve your condition.

I thought about getting help myself but not sure if that's worth my money now. Honestly, I've been sleeping late over the past few months. It's only last night i get to sleep early, but not a complete 7 to 8 hr sleep.

I will report back to my doctor after a month and see how my body reacted to the reduced dosage. I am hoping it gets better although I am still having anxiety especially early in the morning or lunchtime. But it is not that bad anymore as before.

I'm impressed by the way you handled this, with dignity. And that is how we should be treated because it is an illness and as humans is part of life and we shouldn't be looked down on or laughed at instead be given support. You are doing good.
