The Road is Being Repaired Today

A neighbor stopped by, to let us know our road is scheduled to be repaired. Instead of parking in the driveway(blocked in), we were asked to enter another driveway and leave our vehicles there.
So, if we need to leave for some reason, we can do it. I'm glad Jeff forewarned us! I have no plans for today, but might need to go somewhere later on.
I've made a new friend, her name is Linda. She's Jeff's wife and a very nice person. This couple lives right across the street from our rental house.
Jay got our bikes out of storage. So, once the weather warms up I can take a bike ride:) We can't do it together because Jay has extra long legs. He peddles fast and with my short legs, it's impossible to keep up.
And if Jay slows his pace, he loses the cardio-vascular benefits. With me peddling fast and furious to keep up, my tongue is hanging out. There's no fun in this. If I want to take a bike ride, I'll go by myself for the enjoyment

I believe our road will be blocked off for one day. That's not too bad.

@RebeccasFarm Jay reminds me of a 'race horse.' He walks and rides bike, as if he's competing in a marathon race.

Glad to hear you made a new friend. That was good you was warned about the road being repaired and being told to park some place else. I can’t ride a bike since my back surgery wish I could it would be so much fun

We are about 1/2 block from our new property. I can ride my bike or walk over to visit Linda.

Where I'm living, women are not treated as less valuable, than a man. Men, women, children ride bicycles, to enjoy the fun activity of getting exercise.

Glad you will be able to do some bike riding, I have not ridden a bike in ages and would not risk it now with my bum knee.

My hips, knees and legs are very strong. I used to do a lot of walking, which helped my muscles and joints stay strong. My father had very strong legs, at 92 years old. He could still ride a two wheel bike!
