Penny the Pig Firehouse Mascot

I always enjoy the good news stories @Deepizzaguy posts. He writes about true heroes. Well since 2021 the true heroes at Engine Company 239 in Brooklyn, N.Y. have made Penny the Pig their unofficial mascot. She is a teacup pig that has become a presence on social media with over 17,000 followers on Instagram.
Back in 2021 Firefighter Darren Harris adopted the pig from a farm in Virginia and started bringing her to work with him. Otherwise, she lives with him and his family in Middletown, NY. The link below will give you the whole story and wonderful photos of Penny.
