A resident who lives in Washoe County in Nevada called 911 on Tuesday to report that a bear that was inside of his or her auto.
Deputies with the Washoe County Sheriff's Office (WCSO) answered the call for help by having a deputy tying a rope on a door handle from a safe distance to avoid getting injured from an angry bear to open the door handle.
When the door of the auto was opened, the bear got out of the auto and walked away to the woods.
How long was the bear trapped inside of the auto is not clear, Most likely what happened was that the bear saw food inside of the auto and he or she decided to help himself or herself to a snack.

Glad it all ended so well but perhaps the bear had a driver's license and wanted to borrow the car

@RasmaSandra Auto theft is a serious crime, even for a wild bear!

@kobesbuddy but then the bear just might get away with it considering his temperament

Very seldom are stories of bears getting trapped inside of autos reported in the news.

People have got to start locking their cars. I have heard about this many times. I'm glad the bear didn't harm anyone and was able to go back into the woods.
