Flushing goldfish

I was talking to my fiance the other day and he said if we ever have kids, he's going to flush their goldfish (not immediately, but after it's grown a bit) so the kid learns about death, and learns what dying is, and how to deal with it emotionally. I thought this was a wierd (and cruel) idea but it kind of makes sense, to let kids get used to the idea b/4 something more tragic happens, like a dog dying or a grandparent.
What do you think?

I am a "werdio"?? Don't you mean "wierdo"? If you're going to insult somebody, you should at least be able to spell the term you're using to verbally abuse them. Why bring it on here? Um, because I thought MyLot was for discussing things....?? I guess that's only if you're asking things like "what is your favorite letter" or "what color are your eyes"...sorry for asking a legitimate question, I guess that's what us "werdios" do.

I THINK YOU SHOULD GO ON LINE AND IM SURE YOU CAN FIND INFO ON HOW TO DEAL WITH OR TEACH A CHILD TO DEAL WITH THESE THINGS BEFORE THEY EVERN HAPPEN. I THINK IF YOU GO YOUR FIANCES ROUTE I THINK IT MIGHT TEACH THEM BUT IT WILL TRAMATISE A KID AND THAT NOT WHAT YOU WANT TO DO CAUSE THAT WILL ALSO MAKE A CHILD INSECURE,EMOTIONAL AND OTHER THINGS WHEN THEY GO TO DEAL WITH OTHER ISSUES. I THINK YOU SHOULD READ UP ON IT IF YOU DO HAVE A KID THERE BETTER WAYS TO GO ABOUT IT

ahhhh ...i think dats really rude!! yu should put the lil gold fish in a box ....and then take it outside and then dig a hole and out it in there!! thats what i think:)
