So you’re scratching your head and wondering what all these songs I’ve been posting are, right? That’s probably because you were too busy listening to THIS ONE to notice much else in 1983. Yes, this song is now 40. Holy cow.
Little Red Corvette - Prince
I don’t know which is harder to fathom: that this song is 40 years old, or that Prince died seven years ago.
And oh, these boys and their dirty car songs in the 80s. Next year will mark the 40th birthday of Bruce Springsteen’s “Pink Cadillac.” Of course, that one wasn’t as “obvious” as this one. 
Anyway, Prince could blend rock and funk quite well, and this is one of the prime examples of that.

@wolfgirl569 — I joke about that, but in truth (a) I do use a lot of obscure songs (although this is one of Prince’s best-known tunes), and (b) I greatly appreciate people stopping by to say “hi” even if they don’t know, remember, or like the song.

@FourWalls When I was working, I would turn it way up and play it over and over again on New Year's Eve. I"m sure it was annoying. Good! They were a bunch of two-faced people anyway!
