We have a decision to make.

I am running a water Refilling Station business for the past 10 years. No problems whatsoever, but lately, our employees needed to resign. So we had no choice but to go hands-on. I do the Refilling while my husband delivers. Problem is we not getting any younger and having said that our health is jeopardized. My husband is asthmatic, while I am on taking 9 pills daily for health maintenance. I do not think we can endure this for another month. I am thinking of closing the business and we just simplify our life. We can lease the space for additional income. And we plan to go find online jobs. We do receive monthly rentals from apartments, too. Yes we do have a decision to make. And I would appreciate your help. Do you think this is a good decision? Or do you have any opinion about this?

To me, it sounds like you only have once choice since both of you guys are in such poor health. If you can get by without the money from that, it might be the best possible solution. Nothing is worth becoming worse off health wise than what you are now. I wish you both the best of luck in whatever you decide.

Thanks for your comment Amber. We do not have any existing credits to pay anymore. So aside from monthly electricity bills and gas, I think we could go on with our lives. But of course, I was thinking weneeded to cut expenses, like fewer times dining out and less traveling.

How about selling your business altogether with renting the space? You do not need to close it as you have clients already. I think that is a good thing, right?

@Yadah04 maybe selling the business then letting them rent the space as well will be better than closing the business

I get your idea. We do have quite a lot of loyal customers for the past 10 years. It would be a waste to let go of them. If only we could get a serious employee so that we won't be doing all the hard labor...

Why don't you just hire new people? Unless, it's not earning as much as you wish it to be and letting it go is more financially better.

@Yadah04 That's kind of weird because there are too many jobless people.

That's the problem, we can't find serious people to work for us. We are willing to pay as much but the people we find are the problem.

@toniganzon Exactly. But I am from the province and most people in our place go to the city and find better opportunity there.

As you both have health problems the best is to stop your business and to rent your place. May be you can "sell your business". Your health comes first.

@Yadah04 People are often interested to buy (or rent) a place and to continue to do the same business. In this case, someone could be interested to continue to have a Refilling Station Business. People pay a premium here to continue a business.

@LadyDuck The problem however is that water Refilling Stations here need business permits, licenses and seminars to operate. I am thinking that in case I will have someone to continue the business, it would still be under my name and the responsibility is still mine.

Thanks Anna. I agree with you, health comes first. But I am kind of intrigued about that "selling the business " whatever do you mean?

It sounds like a wise choice to close the business as your health is in jeopardy otherwise. It's good you have other residual income.

That is what I am grateful for too, those other sources. But of course, we have to make the necessary adjustment since it is not a guarantee that my tenants could pay on time.

Can you sell the business and that will be good for you and you will still have your other income,

I am quite doubtful about selling the business, like with my name on it, because water Refilling stations in our place needed licenses and seminars. Maybe I could juet sell the equipments and the machines used. Thanks for that Judy.

Why wouldn't you employ new people to help? But I guess at some stage you will need to cut down on some of your more manual tasks.

Yes Judy, if only I could find a serious person for the job. But for the past 2 months, they just come and go. I am really praying to find someone responsible to do the job even if we would pay him/her a bit more....well that is to save the business. Otherwise, we'll be forced to close or else our health would suffer.
