Buy 1 take 1 footlong sandwich

Nine years ago, I have my own burger stand and I trained how to prepare burgers and hotdog sandwich plus the footlong sandwich too. At first I didn't like the idea , cooking is not my forte but I have to do it to help with our family's finances. Training started and I was surprised my supervisor taught me everything , from food preparation, sales, inventory, order taking and a lot more. My job that time was very far from what I was doing during my office girl days. This time I will do all of that and I thought I wouldn't make it. My overview with people working for a fast food chain and people preparing our orders changed when I was doing it myself. Its really hard and it takes technique and patience to do all those under pressure too. Also, I noticed that even though there were menu and prices posted outside for customers to see them they will still ask you how much , so at the top of you preparing the order, there is still customer service on the side. Day by day I am learning and day by day I developed techniques on how to do them one by one , thats why now I have so much respect for fast food crew and staff. The footlong sandwich in this picture is very tasty and it can fill in soneobe's hunger. I have student regular customers and some stranger customers too whom became my regulars , I rhank my uncle for letting me taje this type of experience aside from working in an office setting. My burger stand lasted for just 8 months it was a franchise and the real owners decided to change location and I gave up because its too far from us . Its not easy letting go of a business all your hardwork will be wasted but I have to let go and think of another way. Seeing this picture , I realized I have done a lot of different work and if given the chance I want to do it again. Lotters and friends , how about you, do you have something you want to do again or do you have work you want to come back to? p.s. this is my real griddle before and its so hot in there when your cooking and I smell of burger patties and hotdogs that time but its okay haha as my friend joked on me before " you are a walking burger! "

@iKONICNoona That is impressive to have your own stand. You should be very proud of yourself what you accomplished on your own. You learn a lot when you have your own business and it is a very good experience. You had a good reason for it not working out. I got burned out after 11 years of what I was doing and tried something new and that did not work out so am in between what I want to do now and have no idea but do want to work at home. So maybe you could start your own business and do one thing. So, do you cook more now since the business?

You certainly accomplished quite a lot, and you should feel rightfully proud of what you did. It is obvious you took on a lot of responsibility.

@AmbiePam I am thankful too that my sister is helping this time.I want to get hired again for work and then save up but I cant do it now because I cant let my mom be alone in the house. She trips at times and there are things she cant do. We dont have helpers as of now because of a tight budget when finances becomes clear maybe I will look for someone who can accompany mom at home and I will get back to work hehe

@LadyDuck When I was working on my burger stand I experienced a lot of different types of customers , food business is hard because we are dealing with food we have to be clean and careful. Some customers are irate from the start and some were understanding. Some customers doesnt like waiting and some are just chill and relaxed.

@iKONICNoona You are so right, too many customers have no patience at all and are irritated and rude since they step inside a store.

Even the most menial tasks take skill although it will be of a different kind. I enjoyed working in an office and learnt a lot of skills there.

I hope you would find another business to your liking. I am more of a burger fan than hotdogs. It's good you have undergone that experience because you could apply all the things that you have learned later on. The work that I wanted to go back to is freelance writing. I am still jobless with regard to this aspect.
