Where in the World are Your From?

We have such a wide diversity of people here on MyLot. It's amazing that we can talk to people from around the world. There are some members that are easy to identify by country or state. Others do not have their location listed by their names.
What country are you in?
If you are in the United States, what state are you in?
What is unique about where you live?
What season is your part of the world in right now?
I live in Ohio in the United States near Lake Erie. I live in an area that is full of nurseries; and we are in the spring season right now. Summer will officially start on June 21; and the days will start getting shorter again. :-(

I am from Italy, but I live in Switzerland, in the south of Switzerland "Canton Ticino". It is late spring, six days from now summer starts. The mountains around us and the lakes are beautiful. I like the oleanders, the olive and lemon trees on the lake shores.

My wife and I will be visiting Switzerland in October. The photographs make it look like one of the most beautiful places on Earth!
We will be in Germany for week 1 and week 2 we are planning to visit Chur, Grindelwald, Lucerne and Zurich. We are taking the Bernina Express one day which I believe might take us close to your neck of the woods. Can't wait!

I am in Kansas, and just a little bit to the north and east in the state. The region is known as the Flint Hills. My town has fewer than 400 people.

Oh wow, you're in one of those really cold winter states.
I live in the extreme southwest corner of TX, New Mexico is a border on both the north and the west part of my city and Juarez Mexico in on the south. This is a desert and although we have mostly warm days the only kind of real winter we get is at night during the months of October thru March and some of April. But even at night it's uncommon to get severe cold like the teens or 20s which might happen in January. Of course to me the 40s seems really icy cold.

I live in a topical country where it's summer all year long though we do experience typhoons (not hurricanes) several times a year. I particularly live in the city, also known as the City of Love, hailed as the most livable city in this country.

@LindaOHio Right. My grandparents lived in LA City. And my grandma told me it's hot there too in the summer season but the wind is not so the heat is tolerable.

I live in the USA in the State of Georgia. It is in the North East part of the State around 5 miles or so from the South Carolina border. Lake Hartwell is the border. There is a Christian College here. It is late Spring.

I was born and raised in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, NY. Both my parents were born and raised in Latvia. I spent 20 + years in Riga, Latvia. Having returned to the states I now live in Daytona Beach, Florida. It is springtime but we are already having very hot and humid weather and it will be quite hot all summer long.

@LindaOHio then I have to say she must have central AC, We don't here and the window AC does not do as good a job in the heat.
