Has anyone heard of SMS.ac based in San Diego? What do you think of them?

I'm a member of SMS. ac but i'm only using their site for sendind free sms messages and i wasn't able to send one single sms until now :(
Must be said that i'm sending sms throughout my country (Romania) - they don't have updated list of service providers so i'm unable to choose mine...
Anyway i can't say that i'm satisfied with their services.

You might want to read this http://www.mobiletracker.net/archives/2005/04/03/scam-spam-or-fun-sms.sc
All I know is that my phone number got recycled and the silly woman that had it before me signed up for this site, and because my provider didn't do a full 'reset' of my number, when I got it I started receiving messages from SMS.ac for their matchmaking section.
When I checked my bills, nothing from the company showed up specifically, but I did have charges for 'Premium Services'. Assuming these were just charges for email above and beyond my data plan, I paid my bills for 3-4 months before I really started questioning it and why these irritating texts were still coming to my cell when I didn't sign up for anything. I called my service provider and they let me in on it and told me it was sms.ac charging me $30 a month and beyond to receive those dumb texts but that I'd have to call the company to get them to stop it and get reimbursed.
I called, faxed in everything they wanted me to, and the guy I spoke to told me they'd reimburse me the $120+ I'd paid out to them in 6-8 weeks.
That was January 15th. Still no check.
Note that sms.ac is a jumble of the word 'scams'?
