Dunking biscuits

That which was once upon a time considered not an etiquette at a dining table now has the approval of those who set rules .
Dunking biscuits is actually an art. The coffee or tea has to be just hot enough so that when the dunking is done the fingers should not burn. The biscuit has to be dunked just deep enough and immediately lifted else it will dissolve and settle down.
A spoon should kept in readiness so that which settles down is scooped out although that may not taste as good as that which is just about dunked and the biscuit is still hard.
I even dunk idlis and dosas and enjoy the taste.
One more thing that should not be against table manners and that is licking the platter clean I have yet to do that though

I guess there is an art to everything. When I first saw this discussion I thought it was drinking biscuites.

@allknowing They were told that was rude. They did not do it when they got older.
