I just returned to my country about a few months ago, before that I lived in Japan for four years. During my stay there, there were absolutely no mosquitoes, nor did I encounter any ants there. then I returned to my country, I still find it difficult to adapt because lately there are lots of mosquitoes here.
Do you have mosquitoes in your country? how do you get rid of the mosquitoes in effective ways?

I have electric mosquitoes repeller inside the house, they do not come inside.

@ainnaqo66 What is an electric racket , just in case I’m invaded by mosquitoes?

@RubyHawk we use electric rackets to kill mosquitoes by slapping them. They will be electrocuted instantly. And there is an on and off button on the racket.

@ainnaqo66 Oh, you definitely have them more than we do being a tropical country. I remember being swamped by mosquitoes in Louisiana, but even they probably don’t have them in winter.

Thank you Amber.
But, Do you find mosquitoes almost every day? is it only in certain seasons that you find lots of mosquitoes? I think this is because I live in a tropical country, so it's easy for mosquitoes to breed here.
Oh, right. I need the mosquito spray or mosquitoes reppelent oil or lotion. I will look around the house to see if there are a lot of standing water. People who are living here should be aware of that

Mosquitos are a part of life in almost every country. The best thing I've found is not to go outside around dusk or dawn when mosquitos are most active or wear long sleeved shirts and full pants to help keep them away from your skin.
Where I live, the city pays for a chemical spray to reduce mosquito populations once every two weeks. (The city also sends out people to make sure there's no standing water in an area if the citizens keep complaining of mosquito bites. (A person can get fined if they won't take steps to keep standing water to a minimum.)
Check around your home and see if there are old tires holding water or long-standing puddles or old car parts with standing water in them and dump it out. Mosquitos breed and raise their young in standing water.

Can you complain about any complaints in your country, including if there are lots of mosquitoes around you? that sounds really good. I wish I had a city government like you have. And i do agree there is the rule of getting fined if people there won't take steps on it.
Thank you DE. I will check around my house, is there a puddle and some standing water as you said.

@ainnaqo66 You can complain anywhere in the world. Whether anything is done about it is another matter...
If there is standing water, you can dump it out. If there's a puddle and you can't dump the water out, you can always add a couple of drops of cooking oil to the puddle and that will create a "skin" on top of the water and the mosquitos won't be able to get out of the puddle. The oil will coat them...

@DaddyEvil you are right. and I might have a lot of complaints.
that's right too, a logical explanation. it will definitely make mosquito larvae eventually die.
I just know that. thank you for sharing your experience.

@ainnaqo66 Yes, except in summer when the fans are running. In Kolkata we even have to use mosquito repellent in summer.

@ainnaqo66 Place a medicated mat into an electric device. I guess the smell repels mosquitoes.

ada baiknya tutup rumah rapat-rapat agar nyamuk tidak bisa masuk.

Rainy season is the mosquito season here. Fortunately, my house is surrounded by screened windows and doors. We also make sure our surrounding is clean and no stagnant clean water.

Hello Toni, thank you for sharing.
Do you live in a 2 seasons country? I live in a 2 seasons country (tropical country) where there is a rainy season for six months.
I do agree we need to make sure there is no standing water around to reduce the breeding of mosquitos, especially in rainy days. Thank you for caring.

Yes. I read an article that mosquitoes are attracted to flowerly scents and not to coconut and earthly scents. I don't know if this is true though. I usually use a DEET spray.
