What a blessing it is that whoever invented sandwiches truly contributed quick fixes to the world of cuisine
All what you need is the sandwich bread which is pretty large in size. We get it here I do not cut the edges as I like them. There is so much one can stuff in there and have it as breakfast, brunch, lunch, evening snack or dinner and wash it down with tea of coffee.
You name it and that can be stuffed in there with a light touch of butter - I do not use butter though
My favourite is scrambled egg. I do not know if it can be called a sandwich but sometimes I just apply the dark chocolate peanut spread and enjoy it
There is something else I have recently tried Excuse me guys I am off to try that again - sliced boiled egg, sliced tomato, onion rings with a touch of salt and sugar

@allknowing They are usually on rye bread composed of corned beef, Swiss cheese (usually melted), sauerkraut, and Thousand Island (or Russian) dressing. I prefer it without the dressing, but it's good with it too.

@AmbiePam I know about the Russian dressing which is more like Mayonnaise. Right? But that sandwich takes a lot of time I notice.

If there is no money for sandwiches then that is not good. Better start earning now.

I usually carry sandwiches when I am going on a long train or bus journey. Its mostly non veg sandwiches. It is convenient to carry. During lockdown I ate a lot of sandwiches as Office was working 24/7 and I was working at home at all odd hours. If I did not get time to cook I would end up eating sandwiches.

@allknowing Very true. And there are umpteen variations one can make so that we don't get bored eating the same sandwich always.

@allknowing I prepare a sandwich when we have an appointment in the morning and no time to cook when back home at noon.

I do use onions and tomatoes and cucumber to my sandwiches but have never added scrambled eggs.
