Denton County Fire Department firefighters were battling grass fires near Argyle Texas on Thursday afternoon when firefighters of both Argyle and Corral City saw a fawn underneath a tree.
Denton County firefighter Chad McInis rescued the fawn from a terrible ending to his life by getting the fawn out of the danger zone to safety.
The fawn was given an oxygen mask to help him breathe since the deer had suffered from the effects of smoke inhalation.
The fawn was then taken to Wild Rescue Inc/Rabbit Rescue where the fawn is making a recovery.
On Friday the fawn was picked up by a rescue group named Fawns and Friends where the fawn will be in rehabilitation thanks to the efforts of the firefighters.

It's interesting how when an animal is in danger or injured, how they will let humans help them when otherwise they would run away. It's got to be an instinctive thing that we mean them no further harm.
Glad that fawn let the fireman help

You have a good point there that animals know when a human wants to help them when they are in trouble.
